At a time of unprecedented demographic change The Art of Downsizing follows three unforgettable seniors at the crossroads of their lives. Barb, Bill and Kathleen navigate the delicate and sometimes excruciating decisions involved in relinquishing a lifetime of belongings. As they face the nostalgia of the past and embrace the need for a fresh start and preservation of independence, we are offered an intimate look at what it means to let go in order to move on.

talented
director.

Geeta cut her teeth at the National Film Board's infamous Studio “D” working with luminaries of the documentary world. She is known as a talented filmmaker with a keen eye for character in entertaining stories laced with social commentary. Her recent directing credits include multiple Golden Sheaf winner and NFB Kathleen Shannon Award nominee Standup Toronto about three up-and-coming racialized comics striving to make it on their own terms (TVO, The Doc Channel), and her viral hit 100 and Counting: Secrets to a Long Life (CBC Short Docs) about a couple of centenarians, that continues to capture hearts around the world with over 27 million Facebook views to date - and still counting.
